Susan talks about her favorite celebrity interviews and least favorite interviews, the time she got to visit the White House and play with the First Dogs, the dick who bought her a fur coat and her crush on Andy Cohen. Celebrities that get discussed include Gwen Stefani, Ashley Judd, Mariah Carey, Lance Armstrong, Michelle Obama, Hoda Kotb, Brooke Shields, John Travolta and of course, Scott Baio. Susan also opens up about her favorite waste of time, running into Woody Allen and Soon-Yi on the street, why fashion matters and why she loves the magazine world. SPECIAL BONUS FEATURE: During the Susan Swimmer conversation, I mention playing 80's Name that Tune with Gwyneth Paltrow and I found the tape and it's included here.

w/ Disaster creators Jack Plotnick and Seth Rudetsky

After catching "Disaster" on Broadway, Dennis heads backstage to talk to the men behind the musical Jack Plotnick and Seth Rudetsky. They wrote the show together, Jack directs and Seth co-stars as the disaster expert who no one will believe. They talk about how they chose the 70's songs that made the show, deciding what characters will love and what characters will die, the night the reviews came out, their high and low points and in Jack's case, watching the show on opening night with Tina Fey sitting right behind him. Other topics include: capturing the sexiness of the 70's in the costumes, the sight gag that went terribly wrong one night, the night Rachel York went into the "white room," and the set piece Jack would like to take home.  www.disastermusical.com

w/ Golden Girls Forever author Jim Colucci

Dennis visits the Valley Village apartment of writer Jim Colucci to talk about the book Jim's been working on for over "Golden Girls Forever." Jim talks about the genesis of the book, convincing Betty White, Bea Arthur and Rue McLanahan to sit for interviews, finding never-before-seen photos and the thought that went into the design of the book--the inside cover is actually the Golden Girls wallpaper! Jim also talks about why the show has endured, the different ways the show has lived on and why it especially appeals to the LGBT audience. Other topics include: the book he wrote about "Will & Grace" in 2004, riding the Orient Express with Neil Patrick Harris, how he fell in love with television as a young boy and the time he embarrassed himself on the subway with Meryl Streep. www.jimcolucci.com

w/ Part 2 with radio host Derek Hartley (Derek & Romaine)

In Part 2 of Dennis's chat with Derek Hartley co-host of the radio show "Derek and Romaine," Derek takes a stack of cards from the Observation Deck and reveals the worst job he's ever had, how he learned the facts of life, his favorite bad movie, the move he's seen more than any other and his most random celebrity sightings.  He also talks about why he loves what he does, being in the right place at the right time, living on a farm and dealing with a kitten massacre, his newfound passion for genealogy, why he loves wearing shorts, guests he's had a crush on and more. Derek also delivers a blow by blow replay of the day he found out he and Romaine were being let go at SiriusXM and Dennis shares a semi-shocking revelation of his own. www.derekandromaine.com (FYI, the picture for this podcast was taken in 2005 at the Sundance Film Festival. Dennis is bald because he shaved his head for a magazine article - anything for a gig!)
